Your answers stay with us.

What we collect

Your answers to the survey questions, and your name, company and contact details only if you choose to leave them. We also record how long the survey took and which link you came from, so we know which outreach worked.

What we use it for

• To decide what Tohu builds first for the Canterbury pilot.
• To contact you about the pilot, only if you asked us to.

What we never do

• We never share your individual answers, your name, your company or your contact details.
• We never sell your details.
• We never add you to a marketing list. The only email you may receive is a thank you and pilot news, and only if you left an email address and agreed to be contacted.

Seeing, correcting or removing your answers

You can ask to see, correct or delete your answers at any time by writing to hello@tohuhq.nz, and we will do it promptly.

Where it is stored

Responses are stored in a private Google Sheet in Tohu's Google account, which only the Tohu team can open. Google stores this data on its servers, which may be outside New Zealand.

How long we keep answers

We keep survey responses for up to 24 months while we build and test the pilot, then we delete them. If you ask us to delete your response earlier, we will. This follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Business outreach emails

We email businesses using addresses they publish for business enquiries, such as on their website or directory listing. Every first email states why you are receiving it. Reply 'no thanks' and we will not contact you again.
